Jerry Kowalski - CEO and Co-Founder

Former CEO of OPK Biotech LLC which developed the first approved HBOC for human use. Held numerous senior positions with firms such as Bankers Trust, where he was Vice Chairman of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He was global head of emerging market investment banking for Credit Suisse and CEO of Rose Square Capital an advisory firm with offices in London, Kiev, and Moscow.

Mr. Kowalski was chairman of the largest bank by capital in Russia. Mr. Kowalski is on the board of The Rollicking Crew University of Michigan Endowed Scholarship Fund, Shorts International and a member of the Clinton Global Initiative, Prague Society and Global Panel. Mr. Kowalski holds a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan

Zaf Zafirelis – President and Co-Founder

Mr. Zafirelis has more than 25 years of CEO experience in private and public companies, including start-up ventures and turnaround situations. He has an extensive background in the biotech and medical device industries, with broad knowledge of oxygen therapeutic and cardiovascular products. Mr. Zafirelis was part of the original team at Biopure that led the development and approval of Oxyglobin®, the veterinary oxygen carrier, by the FDA and EMA. He has led two cardiac device companies, Medquest and Cardiacassist, and has substantial experience in the approval of new biologics and devices with regulators worldwide. Mr. Zafirelis has an MS in Chemistry and an MBA from the University of Southern California

Igor Serov – CFO

Mr. Serov has over 20 years of experience in the Investment Banking industry. He spent most of his career in London running such groups as capital markets, structured products, and advisory. Mr. Serov has worked at Bankers Trust, Rose Square Capital, Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, and Renaissance Capital. Before joining HbO2 he was heading up coverage for corporate clients and financial institutions at Sberbank, the largest Russian bank. Mr. Serov has a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Connecticut College

Major General (Ret.) Bruce Lawlor 

Major General Lawlor is presently the Director of the Center for Technology, Security, and Public Policy at Virginia Tech. He was formerly the Chief Executive Officer of Centuria Corporation. He was a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC), the former Chief of Staff of the Department of Homeland Security, former Senior Director for Protection and Prevention, White House Homeland Security Council, and the first Commanding General, Department of Defence Joint Task Force-Civil Support. MG Lawlor was a distinguished service professor at the Stevens Institute of Technology and has taught at the George Washington University. He has extensive experience in homeland security policy formulation, operational planning, and homeland security operations execution

Stephen Harper

Stephen Harper currently serves as a Director for Hello Products, Strathmore Investments Ltd. And a Non Executive Director of BGC European GP Ltd. Previously he was CEO of Saguenay Strathmore Capital , Partner and COO of VHC Partners, and a Partner of Bankers Trust in London and President of Bankers Trust Canada. Mr Harper holds a joint degree from Brown University in Applied Mathematics and Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mr Harper is a resident of London, England

Jay Pieper

Jay B. Pieper, MBA serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Partners International Medical Services LLC. Mr. Pieper has served as the Vice President of Corporate Development and Treasury Affairs for Partners HealthCare System Inc. since May 1995. He was with Partners HealthCare. He was responsible for Partners' financial strategy, investments, mergers and acquisitions, international programs and new business developments

Ed Torr

Ed has had a long career in the Veterinary Products field. He successfully floated Dechra Pharmaceuticals on the London Stock Exchange and held a number of Strategic Positions in that company, including: Commercial Director, and Business Development Director. He oversaw the re-direction of Arnolds and Dales from a Veterinary products company to a pharmaceutical company and held a variety of positions in the Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Industry prior to working at Arnolds and Dales. Mr. Torr has been Vice Chairman of the National Office of Animal Health UK. He is a graduate of St. Paul’s College in Cheltenham , England
